1)The Art Criticism Process: The art criticism process is considered with 4 steps. The first step would have to be to describe what you see. In other words what techniques do you see being used and what genre does this piece fit into. Anything that you see you should describe. The next step would be to Analyze the piece. By that meaning how are lines/shapes/colors/textures being used. What's being repeated of wah catches the eyes attention? The third step of the process is interpreting what you see. Whats going on in the piece? What's the purpose of it. With the piece what is the artist saying? The fourth and final step is deciding/ evaluating the piece. What are the best and the best and worst parts of the piece? Do you like the piece? Why/Why not. Is the artist successful with what they have done. Why?

4) Some reasons that artists make art can be as simple as them just wanting to sell it without a big reason. But artists mainly make their art based on their feelings of how they see the world in their eyes. For example an artist would make a beautiful portrait of someone that has very special meaning to them that no one else has the same feelings toward. An artist can also make art because while they do, it makes them feel as its the only thing that makes them feel alive. Its very rare for there to be two of the same artists that do art for the same reason.
6) Some kind of problems that artists might encounter are when they have an idea to do something and that idea doesnt always work. For example on one of my projects i had an idea to paint a flag on a soccer ball but instead i did my project on a canvas. Since one thing didnt work out i found an alternative to my idea. Not ever artist can do exactly what they planned. Another problem could be that an idea they have someone else has already done it and they cant recreate it unless the completely change what was planned. One other problem could be that if they were to make something
9) Yes i do believe that illustration fridays have helped me brainstorm for main projects. Having one for each week helped me think about better ideas for each project. When i saw the word for each week i wouldn't just think of the first thing that came to my head i would think outside the box to be able to accomplish a better understanding of the word. Once i am assigned a project its easier for me to be able to decide on what to do. For example one weeks word was villian and i drew a villain from a movie instead of just doing a famous one that most people know about.
